Easy Setup Guide
Setting up our Blue Angel theme couldn’t be easier. It’s a simple as 1-2-3. All you need to do is navigate to the Customizer, then configure each page as desired.
Install Your Theme
Navigate to Appearance-Theme-Add New then upload the theme. Activate the theme.
Decide how your catalog should look.
Woocommerce will display your store with categories, products, or categories and products. Navigate to Appearance-Customize-Woocommerce-Product Catalog to set this option.
Set Your Header
Navigate to Appearance-Customize-Header and choose a background color. Set the title of your store and a tagline if you wish. Optimize header padding, product search box width, and site title size. The header section also contains an option to add a promotional top bar banner on all pages. This is a good option to guide your customers to a call to action such as newsletter sign up, coupon code, or other offer.
Configure Your Menus and Social Media Links
Navigate to Appearance-Customize-Menu Create a header menu, footer menu, and a social media menu. Assign locations as desired. Your social media menu will populate Font Awesome icons automatically. All you need to do is drop in your social media links.
Configure Your Catalog Page
Navigate to Appearance-Customize-Catalog Page and set sidebar options, show or hide elements such as title, sales badge, add to cart button and so on. Note: you must be on the catalog page in order for these to appear. This page is also where you choose the number of categories to show per page and also the number of products to show per page. You might start with 4 categories per page and 8 products for a clean look. It’s totally up to use so do what you think is right.
Configure Your Product Page
Navigate to Appearance-Customize-Product Page and set options such has showing or hiding the sidebar, choosing a clean full page layout by moving reviews and product description tabs to full width. You can also show or hide the sales bade, breadcrumbs, and several other options.
Configure Your Cart Page
Navigate to Appearance-Customize-Cart and set options such has showing or hiding the sidebar or coupons. Again, you must be on the cart page to see these options.
Configure Your Checkout Page
Navigate to Appearance-Customize-Checkout and set options such has showing or hiding the sidebar or coupons. Again, you must be on the checkout page to see these options.
Configure Your My Account Page
Navigate to Appearance-Customize-My Account and set the option to show or hide the sidebar. Again, you must be on the My Account page to see this option.
If you have never use Woocommerce before, we recommend uploading sample data. Sample data is useful because it answers a lot of questions for you. Each product has text, prices, images and so forth. You can look at the backend to see how this sample data propagates in your new store. After learning the basics, you then can add your own products and delete the sample data. Import Sample Data
- Download a Woocommerce sample CSV and save to your desktop
- Navigate to Products-Import-Choose CSV
- Press the browse button, then select the sample CSV data you already downloaded
- Press Continue. The MAP CSV fields tool will start. If you have not uploaded any products before, you may simple scroll to the bottom and press the Run the Importer button.
Your theme is now configured and you can start selling products. You can come back at any time to tweak the layout with our easy to use Theme Options.
